Small improvements and optimisations to hire better
No matter how big or small, every Homerun update is meant to make your hiring process easier, better, and faster. We’ve made some invisible changes that improve the stability and security of Homerun, as well as some visible changes that make your hiring process as smooth as ever:
Use emojis in team notes
You can now easily add emojis to team notes! Express your happiness, disappointment, or confusion with more than just words. Express them with emojis! Get creative and use emojis to support your notes about a candidate in a way that works for you and your team.
Close modals with Escape key
If you're in a rush or if you like to use keyboard shortcuts, Esc on your keyboard will now close any modal/popup in Homerun one-by-one instead of all together. This allows you to quickly navigate a candidate profile, switch to the email composer, or go back to the job overview.
Edit candidate profile image
If you want to add or update a candidate profile image, you can do so by editing the candidate profile. Adding a profile image to a candidate profile isn't mandatory, though it can enrich the candidate profiles and the hiring overview. As a profile image is personal candidate information, make sure to check if you have the candidate's consent to stay GDPR compliant.
Preferred profile view is saved
When reviewing candidate profiles, the profile view will now be locked to the last view you used (either a candidate list or a list with an opened profile). Homerun remembers your preferred setting and will open all candidate profiles the way you last viewed them. Of course, you can still switch to a different view at any time.
Google for Jobs - mark jobs as remote or as work from home
When you're hiring for a work from home or remote job, you can add this information to the structured data of your job post. Candidates who then search Google for Jobs for "remote" or "work from home" jobs will find your job more easily. Remote jobs will also get a handy "Work from home" label in the result list of Google for Jobs. Read more.
In addition, you can add a salary indication and expiry date to the structured data of your job post. This will make your jobs even easier to find on Google for Jobs and helps candidates get a better idea of what you're looking for.

View unpaid invoices
Maybe not your favorite page but we've improved the Billing page in Homerun so you can now see any invoices that haven't been paid yet (this requires users to have access to the Billing page). Read more.
We've got some pretty big projects on the way which we can't wait to share with you. If you have any questions, feedback, or feature requests, don't hesitate to contact us at support@homerun.co
