Knockout questions

New knockout questions in the application form automatically disqualify candidates that answer No to straightforward, non-negotiable questions, like “Do you have a valid driver’s license?” or “Do you hold the required visa?”. This gives you and the team more time to focus on reviewing qualified candidates.

Knockout questions in the apply form

Knockout questions can be added as a question when you’re setting up the application form. To the candidates, the question will be presented as a normal Yes/No question in the apply form. If the candidate selects the No option during the application process, they’ll be automatically disqualified. As part of the disqualification, they’ll receive a disqualification email at noon, the next working day. This process helps to keep your process efficient and still respectful to the candidate.

Disqualification template

You can customise the email that’s sent to candidates that are disqualified because of the answer to a knockout question. With the simple use of placeholders, you can personalise the email to candidates and include information such as the name of the candidate, and information related to the job such as the job title and the name of your company. The candidate won’t know they were disqualified automatically.

Disqualified candidates

Of course you won’t lose access to any of the candidates that are disqualified because of a knockout questions. Firstly, you and your team will receive a notification that a candidate was disqualified automatically. The candidate will be in the Disqualified column of the job they applied for. From here you can still review their profile if you need to.
