Operations Assistant

What is an Operations Assistant? Reporting to the operations manager, the Operations Assistant works to create functional business operations to improve efficiency in the company and help the team stay on task. Typically, an Operations Assistant acts as administrative support to senior and executive team members. Some of their daily tasks entail internal communication, managing travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, coordinating events, and preparing reports. The Operations Assistant is ultimately in charge of identifying operational challenges and collaborates with management and other departments to overcome them.

About the job

As an Operations Assistant at <company name>, you will work closely with our operations manager to oversee the daily operations of our company. You will be responsible for creating and upholding company policies and procedures, compiling data, writing reports and making sure these get to the relevant departments. Additionally, you'll offer administrative support by managing schedules, setting up meetings, taking notes, transcribing memos, assisting in the hiring process, and onboarding new staff. Ultimately, you'll help the entire team stay on task and improve their processes and efficiency. Important work, that's for sure!

• You have strong computer literacy skills and have a good handle on software like MS office.

• You have strong business savviness and perhaps even previous experience working in a business environment.

• You've had some form of formal training in business administration.

• You have a knack for identifying how existing processes could be made more efficient.

• You have excellent organizational and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

• You can work effectively and productively in a highly collaborative and busy team.

• You can sift through and draw conclusions from high volumes of information and data.
